53 x 53 cm Framed in natural timber frame (canvas 50 x 50 cm)
Drowning In Soft Plastics is a textured original painting by Artist Jen Shewring.
This painting was inspired by a selfie pic taken with a plastic bag on my head as a hat so that I could paint the impression of folds of plastic and highlight the need to reduce single use plastics and protect all of the beauty found in nature. Paint was used as the medium to create texture to sculpt the face.
- It has beautiful visible individual brushstrokes that give added texture.
- It is a one of a kind original painting.
- Painted onto artist professional quality stretched canvas with an external and internal timber frame and wire on the back so it is ready to hang.
- Signed on the front with my name.
- Artwork title and my name are written on the back.
- All of my work comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and free happiness!
- I package my art securely in thick walled cartons using protective layering.

Jen Shewring
I am obsessed with colour and nature! Outside in the natural environment is where I spend my time sketching the organic forms that surround me. I take them back to my studio where I abstract the beauty and vibrancy of the experience into my paintings. What excites me is creating compositions using a luminous mix of rich colours and texture bringing the outdoors inside feeling happiness from connecting with nature.
