Summer Harvest was inspired by my recent visit to the beautiful Victorian countryside of Mount Macedon in Australia. From the property where we stayed was a view straight out to the majestic misty mountaintop and the lush grasslands below were covered in kangaroos basking in the sunshine. I wandered into these fields and found that the kangaroos all stopped eating and grooming to stare at me! It was a wonderful moment. I've tried to capture the warmth of the day and the peaceful feeling of the countryside into this painting.

This is a big artwork with expressive individual brushstrokes that bring it to life!
